Your loved one’s final journey is important. At Greenhills, we believe that quality transportation is imperative in order to provide a fitting tribute.

Our hearse and limousine has a fascinating history. In October of 2022, after months of negotiation, we secured our own fleet of (Daimler DS 420 Hearse and Limousine) funeral cars. They were once of Royal stock, and have also been used in BBC TV sitcoms Only Fools and Horses and Still Open all Hours.

The Only Fools and Horses sketch is the one where the family attend Uncle Albert’s funeral, only to discover that they are at the wrong funeral. When looking outside and down the road, the family spot our vehicles outside the church.

The hearse was also the one used to transport Princess Margaret from the undertakers to the Royal Chapel at Windsor, before swapping to a newer Royal XJS hearse for her private cremation at Slough crematorium. Only the princesses private secretary and Lord Luce the Lord Chamberlain were representing Her Majesty the Queen.

We can also provide other forms of transport should these be required, such as horse and carriage or more bespoke forms of transport.
